Vassfjellet

Vassfjellet

I went for some downhill skiing today with all the wrong equipment, meaning my bum is hurting now. The local downhill and slalom resort is Vassfjellet, just south of Trondheim. This picture is taken from near the top. It's hard to see the slopes here, but they end around the small hill in the middle of the picture.

Trondheim by sunset early winter

Trondheim by sunset early winter

Here is an image of Nidelva (the Nid river) running around downtown Trondheim. It was taken in mid november, just before sunset. The old city bridge, is barely seeable further up river, and the spire of the Cathedral can be seen to the right. My university, NTNU, is located on top of the hill in the back.

17th of May norwegians celebrate the foundation of the Norwegian constitution back in 1814. The main part of the celebration, is a parade through the city or village. This image is taken from downtown Trondheim, at the spot where the parade starts. At the very front was a marching band from the local army settlement. Behind it is the first people from Katedralskolen, carrying flags showing the schools specialties. Those persons with red trousers and white coats are Russ, a term for high school seniors.

Tree in the water

Tree in the water

It's the same lake as the other image, just a different direction. I'm not what you would call a professional photographer, but I think the tree made it a well composited image.

Granåsen from the side

Granåsen from the side

The skijumps in the back of the image is Granåsen which held the nordic world championship back in 1997. The image itself is taken from in front of the farm who's track I rode my bike on.

Lake in spring

Lake in spring

I bought myself a bike yesterday and had to test it out. So I went up into the hillside here, along a farm track. At the top I rested (it was my first bike ride in several years, after all), even if it was a fairly short ride. This lake is almost at the top of the track I followed and is called Leirsjøen. It seems somewhat skewed, but I think it was the angle I had when shooting the picture.
